Crazy Dream

Note: this post was originally authored in the fall of 2013 – I’m still crazy 🙂

Chasing the dream had literally left me with nothing but the clothes on my back…

I got my first taste of business selling door-to-door at age fifteen, then I launched my first real company while still in college.

I remember pulling into the driveway after nearly a year of eighteen-hour days, exhausted, broke…

It was a glorious “lesson.”

So why was I doing it again?

Why didn’t I just finish school and get a good job like everyone else?

Was I crazy?

Remember the “Think Different” commercial from Apple…

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The rebels. The troublemakers. The ones who see things differently…”

There was a line in the original printed version on posters:

“Maybe they have to be crazy,” it read. “How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written?”

Why did Rosa Parks refuse to give up her seat on the bus that first day of December in 1955?

What brought Martin Luther King, Jr. to the steps of the Lincoln memorial 50 years ago today?

Was it crazy to think that a black man could be elected President of a nation still stained by injustice, hatred and bigotry?

If you dare stray from the beaten path, imagine the possible beyond the accepted norm, or invest your life to accomplish anything significant, someone will call you crazy.

But that’s not the trouble.

The trouble is not those who disagree with you, attack or vivify you, the trouble is the well-intended who try to save you from yourself.

In a moment, three simple lessons for turning your crazy ideas into the life of your dreams.

First, there’s something you need to understand, something that nearly killed me emotionally and spiritually…

Somewhere along the line, I let someone talk some “sense” into me…

They medicated me with their “reality”…

“It’s time to settle down,”

“It doesn’t take all that,”

etc, etc.

Listen very closely, you can’t be “half-crazy” in life… you can’t have one foot in your dream and one foot in what someone else calls reality…

You’ve got to be “all in” on anything you want to do.

That doesn’t mean you quit your day job, today, but it does mean you quit your excuses, television, other people’s drama and the 99 other distractions that sideline most people…

“All in” is answering the call, making the dream a must and doing whatever it takes to make it real.

It’s never about the money or the fame, it’s about changing something in the world that matters.

Here are three simple lessons to help:

(1) First, believe 100%, (again).

Listen to the tapes, re-read the books, release the past, forgive, write your vision, disconnect from negative people, get to the next seminar…

It’s time.

(2) Second, find the conversation that unlocks you.

Pick one primary mentor to follow over the next 12 to 18 months…

Buy their stuff, focus, learn what you need to know, make one thing work, take all-out massive action.

These messages are not a pitch for my coaching.

I’m not the right coach for most people.

What I do and teach is turning what you know, what you’re good at and what you love to do into “how-to and advice” products and programs that generate income from anywhere in the world using the Internet…

I offer direction, focus, confidence and capability to get to your next level, with the freedom and income to enjoy a unique quality of life.

My clients inspire others for a living, they have something to say or sell based on documented life, career or business results…

They are driven to change something in the world, and they believe that they are one of the 10,000 I’m raising up to collectively empower 1,000,000 people…

If this is you, I’m your coach.

Otherwise, I’m not you’re coach, and that’s OK.

If you know you want to work with me beginning in September, you’ll need $5,800, paid in three payments.

That covers the first 3 months of coaching, and 3 days with me, in-person, at a beach house — an experience that can be your turning point…

After the first 3 months, you’ll be in my private mastermind group, $12,000 per year.

If this seems “expensive” or beyond your budget, consider the cost of not participating… if this can truly change your life…

Here’s something else you need to know:

Going forward, I’m investing 80% of my working time in my primary business, making movies, and preparing for the Toastmasters World Championship in the future.

I’m also taking 12 weeks off this year to travel…

For these reasons and others, I’m limiting the number of private clients I work with to no more than 12 per quarter…

You know you’re ready?

Not yet ready for this level of private coaching, Big Table is a starting point…

(3) Third, “do something.”

Did you see the movie “John Q” with Denzel Washington?

“Do something,” that’s what his wife, played by Kimberly Elise, shouted to John Q (Denzel), at the moment of truth in the movie…

Most people are asleep at the wheel in life, living as Thoreau observed, quiet lives of desperation.

If you know I’m speaking to you, it’s time to shake yourself awake, to rekindle your passion, to believe again, to get in the conversation that unlocks and be the person you were always meant to be.

You can do it, I believe in you, YOU are my dream.

Today, I’m re-reading Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, I’m also closing the door on a significant chapter of my life… I’ll tell you more about this soon…

For now, it’s time to get crazy (again).

With love and respect,

Ramon Williamson
