Chances are, there’s something you want to change in your life.
Changing anything in your life is actually easier than you think. The secret is to begin moving in the direction you want to go, today forward.
What about what didn’t work out yesterday?
What about mistakes and failures.
Here are two practical things you can do to make real progress now:
(1) First, write down everything you need to do, all your commitments, so you can see it. Make it visual versus somewhere on your computer. Use sticky notes, one thing per page.
(2) Second, when something comes up, ask yourself: Is there anything I can do about this right now? If the answer is no, kindly tell the person that you don’t know what to do, that you will pray for wisdom, and tell them to do the best they can.
My experience and observation is that there’s nothing you can do about most things in the past. Most people pour a tremendous amount of time and energy into issues they can’t do anything about. Then they get drained and frustrated which becomes the excuse for not moving forward on what they need to do.
Bottom line, stop focusing on the past, mistakes, failures, or what didn’t work out. Make the decision right now to do everything you can with all that you have, so that you can make the progress you want, today forward.
